Vulcan Hair Do

Haters to the left. Nurse Chapel is in the house...wait...sick bay I'm in the sick bay.

Is that subject line appropriate? You did say this was informal...Right? Well I hope so, because I've already committed to it now...

I guess I should do my introduction.

Name: Christine Chapel
Rank: Ensign
Department: Medical
Pertinent Information: I began my career in bio-research and gradually moved into the field of nursing. I abandoned bio-research for reasons that are far too complicated and painful to share at the moment. However, I did continue with my medical training and studies. Immediately after nursing school, I entered Starfleet Academy, and I'm proud to say that I graduated from both with top honors.

Most days you'll find me in sickbay, filling up hypos and generally listening to Doctor McCoy complain. (Like he has it so rough...I mean he hangs out with Captains and Vulcans all day. I could do that. -- Really, Captain, I could. -- I bet I could fit a chair right in between Mr. Spock and Uhura.)

If you want to know a little more, you can look Here Unless you're a Vulcan, there is really nothing you want to see beyond that link...Seriously, if you're a Vulcan and reading this. Don't click on that LINK.

Anyway, a few more facts about me.

Announcement from Sickbay

ATTN: All crewmembers that will be going planetside.
Re: Hydration

All away team members please be advised that it's hot as hell on New Vulcan. I'm tired of sickbay filling up faster than a shuttle to Risa.

All crewmembers are required to wear some kind of UV Light protection. Long sleeves and pants as well as hats are advised, but you can replicate some sunscreen in your quarters. All exposed skin should be thoroughly covered in sunscreen and reapplied every four hours. If you do get sunburn, you can also replicate some aloe to put on it, don't bother coming to sickbay unless you think you may have sun poisoning.

Also, be sure to drink plenty of water. 30 ounces of water is reccomened for every hour you are planetside. If you become dehydrated, come back to the ship immediately and report to sickbay.

I'm tired of this. Anyone who ends up in sickbay for either of these reasons will be lectured. Common sense, people.

((I hope this is okay, it seemed like a good Idea at the time. If not I'll get rid of it.))
